Criminal Justice System
06/05/2010Crown Prosecutor, Mark Linehan, delivered two information sessions on our criminal justice system. We contacted our many partners and frontline organizations so they would have the opportunity to attend and become better informed about the criminal justice system and related legal process. The sessions are specifically designed to help staff improve victims’ understanding of the legal process they encounter once a complaint has been made to the police.
There was so much interest shown that our Center was not large enough and we had to move our venue for the presentations to College of the North Atlantic. These well attended sessions were very informative and well received. Mark’s presentation sparked many questions and we all left with a better understanding of how our legal system operates.
